"Shojo Fashion Manga Art School: Year 2" is upon us! [link]
The official release date is April 12, but I've heard people who've pre-ordered it on Amazon have received their copies.
If you liked the first Shojo Fashion book, I hope you find this sequel as helpful. Where the first book had a lot of lessons in groundwork (basic anatomy, face construction, environments, fashion), SF2 focuses a lot more on clothing itself. Adding texture, creating folds, how different garments move with the body... various pieces like jackets, blazers, t-shirts, skirts, and pants are constructed differently, so they move differently.
I also wanted this book to serve as a reference for ideas. Sometimes, thinking of outfits is hard enough. I hope the examples I've drawn in this book can help kickstart clothing ideas, so you don't end up dressing up every character in jeans and a t-shirt.
The book also has a wider range of characters in terms of ages and bodytypes, which I honestly don't see to often in art instructional books.
It's a great looking book, if I do say so myself, and I'm very proud of the work I've done on it. I'm also proud and thankful to my friend Krisanne who carried the writing load on this one.
So, please check it out, and enjoy it!

In other news, I've updated my site a bit: [link]
The newest additions of note are the Books section and Store section. I can still sell prints through DevArt, but I'll probably do most of my selling via the site. [link]
